This workshop course is the ideal starting point for any person or organization needing to
find out about PRINCE2®. It provides guidance that gives individuals and organizations
the essentials of running a project.
PRINCE2® is a structured, process-based approach for project management providing
an easily tailored and scalable methodology for the management of all types of projects.
It is published by the Office of Government and Commerce (OGC) and is the de-facto
standard for project management in the UK and is also used extensively in more than 150
countries world-wide with in excess of 20,000 organizations already benefitting from its
powerful approach. Since July 2013, PRINCE2® has been owned by AXELOS , a joint
venture between Capita and the UK Cabinet office.

PRINCE2 Foundation level provides for those with a requirement to learn the basics and
terminology of PRINCE2. As per Axelos, this qualification will allow attendees to: Act as
an informed member of a project management team on a project using the PRINCE2
method, within an environment supporting PRINCE2.
PRINCE2 Practitioner is the highest level qualification and is suitable for those with the
need to manage projects within a PRINCE2 environment. As per Axelos, this qualification
will allow attendees to: “Apply PRINCE2 to the running and managing of a non-complex
project within an environment supporting PRINCE2.
The event is suitable for project managers, project support, team members, and managers
from any discipline. Senior managers will also benefit from understanding their critical
role in the success of the project and how PRINCE2’s focus on the business case, allows
consistent delivery of business benefits. The PRINCE2 method is flexible and adaptable
for any type and size of project, and offers an excellent management foundation for any
member of staff; no prior experience is necessary.
